I created the design of this magazine centerfold with laser-cut stencils for the drop-cap, background, title, & scorpion. Each of these stencils were cut out then spray-painted to reflect the product, Tumor Paint. 

 

The article "Hard Target" was published in the June 2014 issue. The article features research from scientist, Jim Olson, based on his development of a scorpion-venom concoction that makes tumors glow. He refers to the product as Tumor Paint. 

 

Wired magazine is a full-color monthly magazine, published in both print & online editions, that reports on how emerging technologies affect culture, the economy & politics.
